Brittney Rodriguez is a Business Operations Manager for an IT Consulting firm and the Administrative Director with #LatinaGeeks. She holds an Accounting degree from the University of Texas, and has seven years of industry experience in Aerospace and in Tech as a Financial Analyst, Customer Success Manager, Application Engineer and a Business Operations Manager.

Because of her nontraditional route into tech, she is passionate about and intentional with sharing her experiences and lessons learned with others. She does this by mentoring students and young professionals to help them navigate through their college and early career experiences. She is also an advocate for Women of Color in Tech, Latinas in Tech, and underrepresented groups in her field.

When she is not working, she is always looking for ways to give back and to pay it forward. In her role as Administrative Director with #LatinaGeeks, her passion project, she works closely with the executive team, chapter lead volunteers, and the marketing committee to uphold the mission of empowering and inspiring Latinas by sharing technical knowledge, business skills, and entrepreneurship resources through hands-on workshops and community events

Her natural problem solving skills have been a huge benefit in her career as she is able to leverage her diverse background to tackle business issues that push her outside of her comfort zone.

Although she never planned to have a career in tech, it’s been a great detour!
