Brett Greene is a strategic communications and business advisor, founder of the New Tech Northwest community of 60,000+ technologists, and the only music industry veteran who's spoken at the White House on how to build innovation communities. He’s worked with executives, government organizations, non-profits, and companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50's to help them with business development, marketing strategy, and community outreach.

As an entrepreneur and advisor, Brett has been engaged in project management, community building, marketing strategy, business strategy, brand development, lead generation, mentoring, event production and digital communication services for 20+ years.

Brett is an advisor for Google Community Leaders, Founders Network, and more. He is on the board of South by Southwest Accelerator Pitch Event, University of Washington Foster School of Business Product Management Center, Washington State Opportunity Scholarship, and has mentored Founder Institute, Startup Weekend, Techstars, and Washington Technology Industry Association companies.

He founded https://NewTechNorthwest.com ; the fastest growing monthly event community in Meetup.com history (out of 300,000+ international organizations). Pre-COIVD-19 every month 17 early to late stage companies (i.e. Microsoft, Amazon, T-Mobile, Verizon, Google) present new technology to 600+ New Tech attendees in Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and Portland. These events now occur as livestreams open to the global community. Dozens of these events focus on women in tech and diversity in tech to advocate for equity and inclusion in the tech industry.

Our community is focused on having fun, celebrating the innovation created in the Northwest, building relationships to help and inspire each other, growing our tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem together, and giving back to our communities. We also do volunteer work to alleviate homelessness and support STEM education for women youth and under represented professionals.

Brett was a music industry professional for 15 years, has appeared on NBC, CNBC and CBS Television, and has shared a stage with Senator Maria Cantwell, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene, and former Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn. He was one of the 2015 Top 35 Social Media Power Influencers in Forbes online magazine. He has spoken internationally for organizations including Blog World, Puget Sound Business Journal, LOHAS Forum, Colorado University, Denver University’s MBA Program, Toastmasters International, Women in Tech Regatta & The White House.
