Calicia Johnson is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Xbox with Microsoft Corporation, where she works with cross functional teams to take gaming to the cloud and develop new technologies and features for gamers. After spending 10 years in the oil and gas industry as an engineer at Chevron, she decided to make the transition into the Tech Industry.
While at Chevron, Calicia served as the Engineering Recruiting Team Lead for university recruiting at Georgia Institute of Technology and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), where she helped students get internships and fulltime jobs.
She is the Founder of Student Career Studio, Incorporated, a nonprofit organization providing access and exposure to minority collegiate students to scholarships, internships, and leadership opportunities. Her goal is the bridge the gap between the opportunities and students. She also provides assistance with resumes, mock interviews and LinkedIn strategies.
Calicia has been recognized as a Walker’s Legacy Power Award Honoree, selected as a member of the 2019 class of Influential Women in Manufacturing and recognized as a Technology Rising Star by the Women of Color STEM Conference. Chevron’s Black Employee Network has also recognized her with the Trailblazer in Diversity Award in 2020.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Calicia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida A&M University and her Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
